How about them Blue Jays. 3.5 games up on the NY Yankees, with a 3 game series this weekend. The Jays lead the AL East with a 81-59 record. This is the first time the Jays have been in 1st place in the American League this late into the season, since 1993, when they won the World Series.
In other sports news, training camp and exhibition games for the NHL start soon. My team is the Jets, and despite the loss of Ehlers, I think we will compete for a playoff spot again this year. I pray that Hellebuyck breaks the playoff curse that has plagued him for the last 3 years.
