brainstorm People don't realize how shallow the entire Arctic passages are. HudBay is max 500 feet. NW Passage is 200 feet. And there's sandbars/shallow spots littered everywhere.
lio45 And I'd assume this is the peak easiest time of year (end of summer) for navigation there (or likely, the only time of year it's even possible to attempt to cross...?)
