brainstorm NordSpace Rocket Engine Test Canada has a Space Startup! This is fucking awesome. Rocket test in his garage with the leaf flying. Canadian AF. You boys are gonna fire me up! More of this! Check this one out @lio45 .
brainstorm @LissaEvers If you like the tech stuff, you'll love NordSpace video above. A Canadian Space startup! These guys are so early stage, only 100 subs on YouTube still. They look like the real deal to me. A 3D printed rocket motor running regular Jet Fuel (easily available). Brilliant.
brainstorm LissaEvers Ya engine blurb here: https://www.nordspace.com/engines It's metal 3d printed with laser. I think it's called SLM. Still learning. I hope they release thrust specs soon. Curious. NordSpace looks like the real deal so far. They might be trying to do a few too many things at once. But I'll be following this story very closely.
brainstorm LissaEvers Speak of the devil they just dropped another test vid 10mins ago. Good agility! The exhaust plume does look a bit messy. Maybe that's from the reduced precision of 3D printing vs cleaner manufacturing methods. Maybe it's an acceptable tradeoff. Ran well otherwise it seems.
brainstorm 3,000lb thrust per engine 7x engines on Stage 1 1x engine on Stage 2 Single piece engine. Brilliant.
brainstorm Test launch this summer. Fucking hell, they're flying. Talked to the CEO, he has rapid iteration in his blood. These guys are the real deal.
