I sent bomberjet a smoke signal. We need him. He's awesome. Engineer (a good one). He does not tolerate the bullshit going on in our province here. He's very forward thinking too (many engineers are not).

Ya SSP started spamming ads like crazy. Maybe to cover server costs. I also twice got malicious popups on SSP's domain too. Can't verify for sure if it was an SSP security issue or not. But I got them.

Regardless. Go where you're celebrated. Not where you're tolerated.

This is precisely what I would NOT want this forum to become: endless discussions over what people can or cannot or should or should not be discussing here. This is what is killing a forum like SSP. It began with constant bemoaning about the topics and where discussions naturally went, which evolved into censorship of threads and harassment and banishment of those who did not fall into line.

First off, your comment WON'T get deleted -- this ain't SSP!!! Even trolling voices are tolerated here. 😉

And secondly, this forum is in its infancy, it's barely an embryo still. What did SSP look like in the late 1990s? Give it time and there'll be more interesting discussion here, I'm sure. It's already much more alive now than it was a month ago!

BomberJet would make a great addition to this forum. Come to think of it, rrskylar while not everyone's cup of tea, would liven up this forum. He is banned from SSP, but is active on Hfboards.com, a hockey forum that I frequent.

BTW, you and I are often in disagreement, but the nice part is, no one is trying to prevent the other from having the right to speak. Your voice is welcome here and so is rrskylar's (if you can actually get him to join -- given that he's been banned from SSP, he's kind of a natural fit for skyscraperpage dot ca!)
