St Thomas Battery Plant Moving forward - 90GWh per year production 👀
That's 3x more than Giga Nevada. Very big.
They claim it's the "fourth largest building in the world", yet they cite only 800,000sqft. That's not even in the top 100 largest buildings. Still very high annual production if true though.
I don't like the $35/kWh subsidies.
China is producing & selling batteries for $35/kWh. So I'd be curious what St Thomas production costs are per kWh, especially after global LFP prices have plummeted the last 2yrs. Is gov paying the entire cost of every battery produced here? 🤔
