brainstorm Interesting Canadian(ish) E-Jet Startup - Horizon Aircraft Good team. Good specs (800km with 7 people). Dumb and overly mechanized design though. Could be greatly improved. Good initiative though.
brainstorm LissaEvers Video here. I think I jumped the gun plugging in them. Their design is flawed. Using two sets of motors makes no sense. They use lift motors in the wing (for vertical takeoff), then serparate thrust motors for forward thrust (for forward progression). Better to use the same motor for both and just rotate it once in flight (like Osprey, etc).

In terms of education, I'm a theoretical physicist myself (haven't worked in that field for a long time now) from UdeS (kind of a heavyweight for quantum physics, actually).
