When scrolling up a little bit (using finger), button can show (I can scroll even more and expose it completely) but there's no way to click it, as it springs back downwards to its resting position outside the screen as soon as it gets released.

And it doesn't change anything whether I have a message already typed in that window - the "send message" button is still out of reach.

It's really nice to have a forum where things like that actually can and do get fixed by the admin! Not exactly what we're used to lol

One little thing that you may want to add if it's doable, is a button at the bottom of threads that takes you back to the top immediately (so you can navigate to another section if you want) rather than have to scroll all the way up. (Unless something already exists and I've missed it... like the way to quote people...)

lio45 Frictionless nav is always an ongoing process. What specifically are you trying to achieve?

On mobile, you can rapid scroll by either flicking the feed rapidly (like a Twitter thread). Or you can click the topbar to get a "dragable slider" for more precision. Snapshot below. This exists on desktop too on the sidebar.

If you're trying to get back to the "thread list page", you can click the "Home" button on the bottom. It will take you to the picture tiles, and you can reach threads there. It's a two-click process, but was the least confusing I could come up with.

Also, back buttons should be plentiful and working on most pages.

But maybe I'm misunderstand your desires? Let me know!

Oh, thanks for pointing that out, indeed there are arrows up and down for, respectively, "original post" and "now", in the right side bar, so that's pretty much what I was talking about.

Edit: and that slider that can be dragged is really nice too.

Basically, yeah, all of that is what I was talking about (tools making forum navigation easy and fast)

lio45 Thx bud. I've built stuff all my life. No stranger to hardware either (in every sense). Building is building, regardless of the domain.

I'm slowed down by health now, that's why I fart around with little stuff like this. Just trying to get traction to big ideas mostly ATM. And, well, the current foreign event dynamic has all of my attention. Problems won't solve themselves. That's our job. 🙂
