This is interesting, potentially good too. (yes good).
MDA Space is a massively under-recognized Canadian Space name. But a talented one.
They were building satellites for "direct-to-device" cellular. Basically "5G from space to phone". Like Starlink's Rogers's compatibility.
But MDA was selling these satellites to an American company, for an American network.
So this contract getting cancelled means more production pipeline opens up for sovereign Canadian initiatives: Defence, Canadian 5G from space. I bet Rahul is salivating. Rogers et all might be too.
Need to dig more, but this is an interesting development on the "domestic fortification" front.
